Holiday At Kampung

One month semester break, the family went back to kampung during the Chinese New Year. It's fruits season and so the grandparent's fruit farms have many many fruits! I didn't get to go back to kampung during last year's Christmas, so this was a perfect time since it's holiday and fruits are fruiting! :D

Drove from Miri to kampung on Sunday's evening, which was on January 22. The next day, we breakfast with durians! Haha.

The cousin, Ronald and little brother, Gerrard were eating some kind of fruit. I don't know its name in English or Malay, but it's called 'pangin' in Kayan. Jam du? Bua pangin k. Haha.

This is how the fruits look like before the skin is peeled off.

Yeah dad's biting on durian. -_-"

Aww.. Ayunya kakak sepupu saya membuka durian itu. Penuh konsentrasi.

Before noon, we went to grandparent's lepau (Kayan says "pondok" or small house) at Seberuk and Peda'an.

P/S: I just type whatever name of places that exist at my kampung. :D

Cousin with her climbing skill on rambutan tree. Haha.

I didn't climb any trees 'cause I just helped to collect and eat the fruits. :)

Grandparent's lepau at Seberuk. One of places where I had my childhood memories. :)

BBQ at lepau at Peda'an. Behind my brother is the lepau. Made from bricks. Sik banyak lepau kat kampung made from bricks ok. Dah standard rumah dah lepau sigek tok. Orang Ulu people will get this. Hehe.

Overall, I had good times at kampung. Place where my parents belong and I'm part of it. :D Back to Miri again on January 24.

Now, what else to do during this holiday? I have another 3 weeks here in Miri. Hmm..

2 little stars:
